After a search of this topic, I found that all the EZ pass threads referred to the white windshield mounted unit. I have the black licence plate mounted one and was wondering if anyone had successfully mounted it behind the grill.
I took a look at the grill but I am worried about excessive engine temps fouling up its operation.
The casing is very robust so it might work - any suggestions?

 

it works under the seat too. i just left mine inside that pocket behind my seat.

ez pass thingies are RF-ID devices. it answers when provided the proper radio signal. most of them do not require or have battery. they use the incoming energy and bounce it back with a little modification.
