Those pictures should be your engine.

94 C220

The sensor should be right behind your oil filter and down a little on the engine block. One bolt holding it on.

Cruzin,

My oil filter is towards the front of the engine. I tried to attach a pic, but the file is too large...
The CPS is probably in the same place though...

Actually after reviewing this pic, it appears that the Crank and the Cam position sensor are swapped (items 1 and 6). Good Grief .... what a pain.... so much for good help .... LOL

If you can't make heads or tails of this picture, Sleepwalker should be able to provide a better one.

Sorry about that mate,
TJ

at least we know it's M111.

yeah, the CPS is always back there in the kitchen.

the people who make the diagrams are just artists and the one who design it are engineers.

both knows a little of each other's job.

Thanks MR Sleep! Now, If I can just figure out how to get to it. I can't even see it yet. I think I'll have to put the car up on stands and try it from underneath. Can anyone tell me how to disconnect the linkage rods from the ICV assembly?

Thanks, you guys are a great help!

I'm tossing out some input.

I wonder how the car drives. Does it run ok?
Is the problem only appearing on traffic lights?
What will happen if you put it in neutral and not depressing the brake pedal while stopping?

If the car runs ok and the problem is only appearing on traffic lights/ when stopping, there may be a vacuum leak in the brake booster system somewhere. I don't know how the system works on mercedes though. Just a wild guess

I'll experiment a bit tomorrow to see if break application makes a differnence. The car runs fine, right up to the point when it doesn't!
Thanks for the reply.
