Lugnut,

I like the star on the new C-class; however, I think it looks to formal on my 1999 C280. I think my Benz looks much more sporty with the flat emblem. Just my 2 cents.

Mine came with a flat emblem. I'm thinking of changing it to a star. Okay, not really.

Wouldn't a naked lady ornament be sportier than a flat emblem?

I'm not trying to be condescending, but why do you guys switch the hood ornament to a flat emblem? I think the star looks cool. What's wrong with it?

I mostly agree with Lugnut, I support keeping the star. The star brings a lot of class and elegance to the car.
KEEP THAT STAR!

I agree with Lugnut and evilwock,

I think the Star is a bit more classy than the flat emblem. The MAIN reason I like it better is that I get to see it too! You need to be on top of the flat emblem to see it, and the star in the grill is only seen by those in front of you (you can't even enjoy it while you're cruzin around).

It's awesome the way the star reflects the sun too.

just my .02 cents worth

Besides you can't do this with a flat emblem:

Me too, the flat emblem makes the C280 a lot more sporty looking

Yeah, and after a night of hardy partying you can aim your car home using the star. Can't do nothing with the flat thingy.

There is only one advantage I found with the STAR, it kind of tells you where the front of the hood end, and might help the people out there who don't know how to park, and there ar a lot of them out there

Speaking of the Star. Does anyone know what it means? ie. BMW is a propeller against a blue sky.

Why remove the star? That is what seperates you from others. I am not a big fan of debadging either. It's like your trying to hide what your driving. This is just my opinion and in no way flaming others for doing what they want.
