Default emblem question

hello,

I did a search on the flat hood emblem, and someone said he bought a poor quality one. I was wondering if there were any suggestions as to where to buy: I found some at autowerks, formymercedes.com, autoblz.com and many on ebay. ebay has the best prices, but I am not sure if the quality is high or not. If anyone can give me some insight on which one to buy, please post.

Thanks

I just received two orders from For my Mercedes, clear blinkers and a footrest, all high quality products.

Autoblz.com is also good, I've purchased from them. Try MEuroparts on eBay they have good quality Benz stuff also

I just purchased a flat emblem and holder for my 1999 C280. I went through formymercedes.com and had no problems - the product was as described and shipped in a few days. As far as quality goes, the emblem is made of high quality hard plastic. I would have prefered that it was made of metal/alloy like the holder for the bonnet star it replaced; however, this was not a big deal. I installed the emblem and holder yesterday and it looks good. Hope this helps!

All the flat emblems, aftermarket are made of plastic, actually they hold up better. I have done business with mymercedes for years, when I had a Bimmer and my a Mercedes. I just had an order come in and as usual the quality and service is great.

I'm not trying to be condescending, but why do you guys switch the hood ornament to a flat emblem? I think the star looks cool. What's wrong with it?

Why not get a naked lady or something like that?

I mostly agree with Lugnut, I support keeping the star. The star brings a lot of class and elegance to the car.

KEEP THAT STAR!

Nol, your not being condescending at all. I prefer the look of the flat hood ornament and the STAR grille

If I buy the aftermarket emblem (plastic), will it last a long time, or will I need to change it every couple of years because of fading, chipping, etc?
