Electronic transmisson and fluid change
According to MB and to my dealer, there is no need to change the transmission fluid on my 99 C280, it is sealed for life. Yet I have read articles and post on other boards, the ATF should be changed every 50K, contrary to what MB states? SLEEPWALKER, what is your opinion? Thanks!
Comment: the fellow I bought my 450SLC from has a 04 C Class. Now MB has eliminated the dipstick to check the engine oil. You have to do the dash check, my 99 C280 has a oil dipstick no tranny dipstick but a oil check function on the dash. What next no oil changes for the life of the car?
