Do all C230's come with charcoal cabin filter?
No they don't. At least my '05 did not. It has a paper filter you can replace yourself in about a minute.
Take off the cover to the battery under the hood and there it is. They are cheap if ordered online as I do
and I've found they help a lot with the cabin air if replaced periodically. I bought two or three online and
keep them handy. I have asked MB about the "charcoal" filter inside the vehicle supposedly under the dash
somewhere and they have told me it doesn't exist on this car. Who knows for sure. I took half the dash apart
including the glove compartment one day looking for it and nothing. A bunch of foam and stuff, but no
"charcoal" filter. IF there happens to be one under there, it isn't worth taking half the dash apart replacing it
for sure. Hope this helps.
