my dash led numbers for mileage, outside temp and odometer started acting up. Sometimes i get the whole number and sometimes a part is missing. Sometimes a whole number is missing. It could be any number on the display however the last number in the mileage is always missing. Sometimes the display works fine but will act up a few day's later.

 

I think you mean the Pixels are not fully intact with each other so you cant read the numbers and the letters fully? I have had the same thing on my 2000 C Class also. It comes and goes. I know it drives me nuts also. I would say take it to a independant shop and have them look into it. I dont know too much about pixels but I have herd they can be replaced.

 

FWIW - Mine does it too, but mainly on very warm days, or when the dash is exposed to direct sunlight and gets hot. I am living with it for now but suspect the speedo head or at least that display portion will need to be replaced to make it right.
