I have no idea but I was wondering how many miles you had on your car. I just purchased a car like yours three days ago and my sensor went out today! The dealer is replacing it. He said that he's had to replace them before so apparently it goes out frequently??? I have no idea.

I purchased it in 2004 with 39,000 miles on it. It now reads 125,000 miles. I travel a lot. This is the first time I've had any problems with the sensors.

Mine has 84 thousand miles on it right now. Sorry to hear yours went out. Fortunately, my service was covered by the warranty. I was told it was about a 250.00 repair parts and labor. Maybe you should just get it towed to a mechanic? We plan on doing most of our repairs ourself. I found a manual that tells me how to do most repairs including electrical. The manual doesn't talk about a crank shaft sensor though.

The sensor is located just in front of the trans on the engine block behind the left head. On your car it is changed preaty much by feel! You can remoive the Air Mass sensor to see it.
