code P0141
hai all...
I got my check engine lights on, and got checked by autozone staff, the code was P0141 and it said :
Definiton :
H02S12 heater condition (Heated oxygen sensor-Bank 1 sensor 2)
Explanation :
The computer has recognized a failure in this circuit
Probable cause
- faulty H02S12 (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
- Poor connection at oxygen sensor
- Check circuit-fuse
the guy said, i can do some steps
- disconnect the 02 sensor and reconnect (reset)
- check fuse
- replace the 02 sensor..
does it work? bcause they suggesting me to add Lucas fuel additive first, and the light still on.
can i reset these sensor just like what he said? or i need to replace it?
and any idea where the position is, since this car has four 02 sensor ( two before and other two after cat converter)
thank you guys....

Just replace the sensor. when you do go to the Mercedes dealer to get it . i replaced mine on a dodge dakota a few years back (it had 6 yes i said six of the D^%$ things)
and tried an after market one and had nothin but problems with the vehicle. The after market was 65 bucks and the one from the dealer was 110.00 but the aggravation
wasnt worth the 45 dollar savings and the dealer one had the right end on it to match the wiring . Then go find some corrosionX HD its a dielectric grease that will keep the moisture and dirt out of the conector.
just my 2cents
BTW i wouldnt add anything to your fuel unless its a diesel.JMO

Position is same. It should be easy to find out. First clear the code then unplug oxygen sensor connector and start engine. If it shows you same code (P0141) then you are on right one, if you unplugged wrong one then different code will pop up.
