Chirp coming from dashboard on my 06

I picked up my car a couple of months ago and at about 3,000 miles I started hearing what I would describe as a chirping noise coming from the dash when I cross expansion joints or hit small rapid bumps in the road. It's driving me nuts. It sounds like a nest of hatchlings when I drive on some of the freeways around here! I haven't gone to the dealer because I'm waiting until I have the time to take a mechanic on a test drive so they can't give me the usual, "couldn't reproduce problem" excuse. Is anyone else experiencing any unusual squeaks, pops, or chirps in your newer C Class?

I did have a birds nest in my filter box once, not on any of my mercedes but on a old Porsche I had. Hard to say, but it could be the tach cable, if it's not electronic, speedo cable, again if not electronic or the drive by wire accelerator, as my 99 has drive by wire and there is a cable under the hood however that does down tothe tranny. Could be the cruise control, Could a birds nest, Seriously there are a lot of possibilities, even with everything electronic it could be a omponent. Just thought of another area the HVAC, perhaps the fan is loose or the bearings are going???

No idea. Take it back to the dealer and tell them to get rid of it-no excuses. Like Wizard said, it could be anything.
I have to say, I own a 1999 with a stiff sport suspension, and it is surprisingly free of buzzes and rattles.
