check engine light/fuel filter C320 2001
I am thinking my fuel filter is bad. A few daysago after driving at hwy speedfor 25 minutes, I parked to run an errand. Car sat for 5 minutes, I tried to start the engine but it just kept turning over and the check engine light came on. After 10 minutes the car started right up. The check engine light went off before I could get the code read.Gas cap is on and no other issues have been experienced.
Any thoughts?

It cost me $100 for the sensor(local auto parts store dallas, texas)and $100 to have it installed at a local repair shop. The dealership wanted $181 for the part and 1 hour to install. You can find the part on the internet for as low as $78. Make sure you get the crankshaft position senor not the cam position senor.
