Car Phone - Help First Car

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2004 Mercedes C240 4Matic. It's my first Mercedes and I need help with the Car phone. I've been wanting to add bluetooth to the car in order to sync my phone to the car and use it for either music or phone calls but making sure I can use the factory installed buttons on the steering wheel and the number pad on the center console. The thing is all of the websites I've visited either show a Mercedes that's fully wired for a car phone with a cradle and all. Or not wired at all where a whole installation is needed. I have mine where I think it's in a between stage. If I open the storage compartment (?) in the center, I see a connection that looks like a Ethernet or LAN Female Input. I haven't seen this on a thread before and the one time I did see it, there was no response. Can someone help me figure out what I need?
