I have mercedes C240 (2002) , I went to dealer last week and he says my battery failed the test. I wanted to which battery do I need to put. As he is asking for about 150 $.
I want to know how much does it cost outside dealership, If I just walk to other place and get it changed. Also is it complicated to replace a battery, I heard ppl saying when they changed the battery SRS went off, or things for reset in car etc etc. I dont want to take any chances for 20-30$. Can someone guide me which battery to buy and how much does it cost ?

battery is simple it is under hood passenger side, there is only one battery on that car. you will need to reset the sun roof , windows , driver seat and steering wheel depending on the features you have. also the clock. if you have easy entry feature you will need to normalize the steering wheel. also seats cushion, backrest ,headrest if you have power seats.
