Cabin filter + box
Hi All,
Bought my 2003 C240 about a month ago from a non Mercedes Dealer. took it in for its oil change and was told that I am suppose to have an air box and filter on top of my battery. Now that i know, whre would be a reasonable place to locate one other than mercedes?? Does it just push right into place or are there bots required?
Thanks for the assist

RE: Cabin filter + box
If that piece is missing, and I think that's what you're saying here, then Mercedes is going to be about the only place I can think of
that would carry it. It's just a black curved piece of plastic with three clips on the top of it. If you flip it over, you will see a space for
a paper filter that goes in there....it just pushes in. Easy to do. And those are available at places other than the dealer to save a few
bucks. But.......I myself would buy that part and a filter for it because that's the only filter for your cabin air. Or at least it is on my 05
C230K sedan.
PS> If you buy this part and get a filter for it, and you go to install it, angle it down a bit so that the bottom kind of hooks in the
opening....then just lift it up and snap the three metal clips to hold it in place. OK?
