C320 wagon 2002 seat belt needs replaced: looking for anyone that has had to have their 2002 to 2006 C320 drivers side seat belt replaced. We are waiting for the part (no longer made) to be manufactured custom by MB in Germany. I’m not sure but I think the air bag system on drivers side only works if the seat belt sensor is working properly, not just the seat occupancy sensor. In our case, the seat belt sensor failed and thus we must get the entire seat belt replaced. I believe the passenger side airbags do work if only the seat occupancy sensor works - this is done by sensor knowing weight is on the seat over xx pounds. Questions for forum: 1) has anyone had their seat belt in C320 wagon model year 2002 successfully replaced? 2) Is my description of how the airbag system works with seat belt and occupancy sensors correct?
