C280-Windshield Wiper Arm Alignment
The cast arm on my son's 97 C280 winshield wiper assmbly broke and I repaired it with JB Weld. The repair worked great except now when I turn off the winshield wiper the arm stops at about 6" higher then it should. It's rotation from left to right is perfect. How do I adjust the stop position. Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like the wiper timing is off in the wiper transmission. I'm not entirely sure as to what you removed but if you remove the wiper assembly, there are timing marks on the wiper transmission that must be properly lined up. I have rebuilt/timed dozens of these and it usually takes a couple attempts for it to be dead on. Not sure if this is the problem but best luck

More help
The motor has a small arm(about 2 1/2") that is attached by a nut. The larger cast arm pivots off this. Is it the little arm that I am trying to adjust. If so am I meerly rotating it or am I actually removing and repositioning.

Alignment
I tried 7 or 8 times unsuccessfully. I finally bought a complete assembly with motor on ebay. I requested they reomove from the car and not move anything. When I installed it I had no problems. I think it cost about $145.00. At that point it was well worth it because I had fooled with it for about 4 weeks. I will never have another single arm windshield wiper. Sorry I was not more help but every time I adjusted to old unit it would always stop somewhere in the middle of the window.
