I bought '99 C280 with 103K miles , drove it over 6 months now and transmission has been shifting smoothly LIKE NEW- not a single problem.
One day I was driving and it was around 56 degrees and rainy when all of a sudden after a red light I tried to accelerate and would feel the car would not upshift or downshift - only 2nd gear and reverse.
The car went into limp mode. I turned it off, disconnected the battery, waited 10min and then started it and everything was fine.
Since then it happened again a few times and the last time it would not
even shift into any gears!
But after I turned OFF and then tried to start the car it acted like
the battery was drained.Tried one more time and it worked fine.
What could be the problem here ? Not enough fluid or sensor?
Any information and help would GREATLY APPRECIATED!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
