Default C280 1998 Windshield Wiper problem

Hey, have a few problems dealing with today. The problem I have is my windshield wiper blade has completely stopped. when I turn on the switch to turn it on the motor for it makes a noise like it is working but no movement whatsoever. I also have a problem with drivers side front window. The window doesnt go up and down at all. for the window, do you think that is a fuze? all the other windows work fine. any advice would be appreciated.

I recommend saving yourself some money and remove the cover on the wiper arm itself you will see a cover that prys off and up from the bottom. lubricate the rod with some antiseize and then move the arm with your hands this should hold you over for a while. common issue on 202 bodys.

I have the same problem. How do you pry the cover off exactly?

I just did mine tonight and saved $1200 over replacing the assembly and motor unit including labor at the dealer. Turn on the wiper and stop it in the extended postion about 45 degrees. That will allow you to easily pull off and remove the narrow upper cover. First pull up on the lower portion of it away from the lower section then pull down toward the main cover. Set it aside and then you loosen the lower main cover by lifting on the lower sides. It has small tabs toward the bottom sides and should pop off easily but you wont be able to remove it completely but not to worry. Just lift it up and away and you will have easy access to lubricate the shafts as mentioned.

Works grate now! Now need to figure what to do whith my "found" $1200
