C270 Transmission Probs! (Please Help)
I have a C270 cdi (2002) with 100,000 miles. This car has been giving me a lot of trouble with the transmission. It keeps going into safe mode. I have had the speed sensor replaced, the solenoid valve replaced and the gear box fully serviced! I have also had the battery replaced as there was a recall of this particular model as because thebattery was faulty and thus causing the car to go into 'limp home' mode.
This is an intermittent problem. I would be driving along and would go to overtake someone and the car will slip into neutral, if I slow down the car will go back into drive but most times it will remain in neutral. However more frequently the car will go into 'limp home' mode and usually a restart of the vehicle will let me drive as normal. Today my car done the same thing but will not come out of 'limp home' mode. Note that the car only does this whenever I have been driving it a while and only when I drive it a little harder than normal i.e. overtaking (I don’t mean rallying).
The vehicle has been left into an approved MB dealer and has had all this work done but to no avail! Please help! It has cost a fortune and I just want to know what it is so I can get it fixed.

NB The alloy wheels on this vehicle have a buckle in them on three wheels and its severe enough that you can feel it whilst driving. Would this be causing the problem? Although I cant see how!
