Default c240 shacking when driving over 100k/h

Hi,

somebody please help me with my situation. i have a 2001 c240 and it shakes when I go over 100-120k/h on the highway. It does not happen all the time but when it does it shakes well, then ill have to reduce the speed to get normal. Does anybody know why this is hapening. I showed it to a mechanic and after a test drive he said its coz the rear shocks are no good. Will this problem be solved if i change the shocks? somebody please help me. thanks in advance.

probably not, but bad shocks can cause some vibration but not seriously, you probably have a bad tire or need a tires balance. the mechanic needs to check your tires and rims. maybe you could have a bad transmission mount. they usually cause vibation at idle and youll feel it in your seat.

Hi Roshen,

I would check exactly the same like senior Chassis221 said, A case of wear and tear problem that need to be replaced.
