Question C230 Victim of Rabbit Attack

1999 C230 Kompressor
I started my car this afternoon and it was missing badly, I popped the hood and a rabbit jumped out. (I live in the Arizona desert) After looking around I discovered that the injector wires to No. 4 had been chewed off at the solenoid and where the wires come out of the main cable, also the wires that run into the spark plug area were chewed on into but not through. I cut out the bad sections and soldered in new wires. and it runs fine now.

The problem is I found some wires coming out of a plug that have been chewed completely through and the wires are missing but I cannot find where they should go. If you know where these wires go I really would appreciate it. I don't want to drive this car until I find out.

Please see photos.

Thanks
Hager

If you strip back the covering, you'll find the rest of the wire inside. Most of these wires are color coded. The connectors themselves can be disassembled and repaired, and wires spliced.

You really should tow it to a shop and let them replace the harness. A call to your insurance company is in order.

I repaired the wires to the fuel injection solenoid.

Where do the three wires go that are coming out of the plug shown in the picture with the yellow circle and three yellow lines. I don't want to start opening up harnesses ***** nilly until I find out where the the other end attaches. If you could take a picture and show me it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Waybomb

the other end of that must be nearby, look and feel around for it. it may have dropped down because it isn't supported at the other end.

Ah! It looked as if the vacuum line was the harness when I first saw this. Upon closer inspection, I see what you mean. Like schumicat says, it must have dropped down.

Thanks, I'll have another look tomorrow. If I don't see where it connects guess I'll go out looking for a 1999 C230 Kompressor and get a first hand look.

I was hoping someone on the forum would have one.

Thanks
