Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum so thanks for your help. I have a 1999 C230 K and the other day I broke the passenger side mirror. I purchased a replacement at a wrecking yard but it's the wrong color so I need to replace the outside cover. The problem is that Ican't figure out how to get the outer cover off to install. My original was broken in a way that allowed me to access the inside of the backing plate to remove the cover but this one is in tact with a very tight spring and I can't figure it out. I don't have a manual and usually don't work in the car myself so I'm not really interested in having one. I hope someone can help.
