Default C230 rear wheel bearing

anybody replaced a rear wheel bearing on a 1998 or simliar c230? my car makes a rumbling sound/ vibration when i turn. i've tried lots of stuff icluding new tires, checking rims, shocks suspension bushings, so i ordered a wheel bearing kit . the kit comes with a new nut, bearing and snap ring. i don't have manual for the car. anyway i am guessing that i remove the wheel, remove the nut. unbolt the half shaft up near the differential, pull the half shaft in twords the middle of the car to remove it. remove snap ring, remove bearing. Is there going to be anytihing else holding the bearing in? hopefully the hub doesn't need to be removed and taken to a machine shop to have the bearing pressed in. while the half shaft is out i intend to check the cv joints too.

anyone with experience in this area please let me know. thanks.

by the way, I am interested in forming a group of C230 owners in the washington/seattle area to keep these cars on the road cheaply and avoid going to a dealer for service. for example if one person thinks their mass airflow sensor is bad, we meet and swap sensors to se if it fixes the problem.

thanks
