My 2003 C230 Sport Coupe Kompressor A/C isn't working, had it recharged a year ago and now I find the Evaporator is gone. This is an expensive repair like about 14 hours of labour and evaporator is dear too.

I seem to see lots of AC problems, is this a trend for these cars?

Are you having the same issues with this car?

I love my coupe, it works great when working, performs very well, and gives wonderful mileage, but the maintenance is rich. Anybody having these issues with this car and model year?

Any comments would be appreciated.

make sure its the evaporator before replacing it, there ar emany other things it could be. usually when you have a bad evap it will loose its charge within days not months. so get a second opinion or take it to a dealer to see what they say.
