Default C220D YEAR 1996 NEEDS 3 ATTEMPTS TO START IN THE MORNING

Help please, my merc C220D year 1996 needs nearly 3 attempts before it can be started in the morning. I have it checked and they said the glow plugs are all ok and they suspect air lock which happens at night. Is this true or they are trying to rip me off!!! Please help me sort this problem out. Thank you all.

it can be true. air bubbles in fuel line.

you can install separate shutoff valve for it.

Yep sleepwalker is right. What kind of climate do you live in? Perhaps you need a block heater if your in a cold area?

Hello there, I am actually in England, London and at the moment it is very cold 3-5 degrees. Well do you think a shut off vavle would cure the problem. Also would you please let me know where can I get these and from the picture I can't get an idea where to fix the shut off vavle. Thank you very much for the help. Thanks.

this is normally caused by the feed lines to the high pressure pump leaking and they may need replacement.
