Hi all,im new on here.My dad has just got a 1994 c220d with 76k on the clock and i took it out the other day and it wont rev past 3k rpm! My dad didnt even notice,he said it was just because it was diesel and they are slow but thats rubbish!U cant pull off quickly or overtake anybody! Ive read it could be the MAF sensor,or people said to get fault codes read but does anybody know what it definately will be before we spend a fortune having someone play with it for no reason?I mess about with cars quite a bit so can have a look and hopefully fix the problem if someone can give me any pointers!Cheers.

 

Alright mate,cheers.I know a guy who has a diagnostic device,its a handheld snap-on one.Do u think this will do the trick and if so do u know where the diag port is? Or will it be a mercedes dealer only thing?
