Hi All,
Do anyone have face the similar issues. I have send back to MB services centre to check but their answer to me hydraulic lock is cause of engine damage by driving in the flood.
Do anyone have any view could any others possibility can cause this to be happened.

Well sorry to see your engine ,i bet your gutted .Did you drive through water ? and is the damage to the cylinder ,or just engine wall .Any way its got to come out to investigate the cause .Then go from there .You dont know at the moment what the problem is .

From looking at the photo I seem to disagree. The broken piece from the block is below the cylinder wall, if it is a hydrostatic lock the broken piece should be part of the cylinder wall where the hydrostatic lock occurs, it is the only place where pressure can build up on compression stroke.
