hello, i have a few problems with my 1999 c180 merc;
the first problem that i had was, when driving,all the ignition lights came on the rev counter and the temp gage stopped working.
when i turn the ignition key so that the igniton is on, and then after a second or two, go and start the car, nothing happens, no noise no nothing.
however when i put the ignition key in and go straight to the start position, the engine will crank over but only fora second or two before it cuts out completely.

any advice on when to start looking for the electrical fault will be greatfully recieved!
