Buying a C36...PLEASE HELP
I am in the market for a reliable Mercedes that has power and is enjoyable to drive. I was stuck between an E420 and a C36. However, reading a few posts on this board has swayed me to a C36.
I ended up finding one for $9800 and it has 100k miles on it. The guy told me he did the following things to the car:
"I changed the fuel injector wiring harness, did the head gasket, all new hoses, air mass sensor, tires, tie rods, 90k service etc..."
He also mentioned that he spent around 4k on the car. He was trying to get it running perfect for his wife. It has had two previous owners, a father, who gave it to his son (owner 1 and 2, same family). The father took pretty good care of it, but the son didnt really.
My concern is this....when the guy told me all the stuff he did to the car...I thought, "great, lots of new parts I dont need to worry about". However, part of me also wondered, "if those parts went bad...maybe parts connected to the now NEW parts will soon go bad because it was treated poorly...likea dominoe effect".
Am I over-worrying? Thanks guys, appreciate the board and your help.

RE: Buying a C36...PLEASE HELP
After being owned bya young adolescent im not suprised the car needed new parts. The owner seems like an honest guy to mention all previous owners including the son and how hedidn't take great care ofthe car. I say if its really bugging you, take it to a shop you trust for an evaluation before making the buy to make sure everythings okay.
