Hi,

Can any 1 pls advice me how to remove the CD Player coz there are 2 disc stuck inside?

I Like to remove the CD Player & then remove the 2 disc stuck inside.

There seem to be no screws or bolts anywhere I can see? Can any 1 pls advice how to remove, there must be a way?

I own a 96 benz and have never seen the interior of a 2002 model, but I guess the procedure is pretty much the same. Get hold of a couple of the keys that come with a new regular CD player. They're about 6 inch long and can be inserted on both sides of the player to release two leaf springs that are holding the player in place. This nay bot be the case with your player but most if not all radios/CDs are fitted such that they can be removed this way. Examine your player carefully to see if there is a couple of rectangular holes the size of a dash at either side, its possible the holes are hidden beneath some of the control buttons that can come off. The keys insert into these holes to release the player. Good luck and hope it works.

 

you need to remove the centre air vent first tilt it up to its stop you will see some small plastic lugs using a flat screwdriver press them to a side the vent will now tilt a bit more look through gap you will see 2x screws repeat procedure tilting vent other way you will see 2x plastic lugs put a screw driver into them and lever down at the same time pull the vent. thats the tricky bit done now pull up the trim around the gear lever and remove the ashtray you will see near where the ashtray was 2x metal clips un hook them the trim around the radio and a/c panel will now come off revealing 2x screws to remove radio head unit job done
