Hi Guys,

I noticed a burning smell from the quick release bonnet latch and turned out that the wire got very hot. The black outer casing started to melt slowly.

The short cable that is located inside the driver side underneath the steering column is completely jammed. I now cannot pull the cable to release the bonnet hood.

I have a C320, 2000 year model. X Reg.

I went to MB Dealer and bought a cable as the bonnet cable comes in two parts.

Does anyone know how to replace the cable located under the drivers steering column?

Any help would be great!
