Default bi-xenon HID conversion question

I’m sorry I post a lot. I’m new... but from now on, I will only post important questions I have.

I am planning on getting another W203 c-class. Here’s my question that I have searched allover the web for without answer. Can I get the darn bi-xenon HID lamps if the car doesn’t already have them? I know there are all kinds of converter kits and packages, but that doesn’t mean my car is compatible with any of them. Also, what if my c-class only has halogen lamps- can I still get bi-xenons in this case? Please tell me as much information as you can about this. Also, let me know how this varies by year of the car- for instance, if you can convert to bi-xenon only with, let’s say, 2002 models and up- or something. Any information is greatly appreciated as it will help me with buying decisions.

Yes, but pricing is high and auto leveling is not available since it's not equipped from factory. 01-07 bi-xenon headlamps will fit.

Are you referring to aftermarket bi-xenon kits or original manufacturer bi-xenon kits?

I heard that the original manufacturer W203 bi-xenon kits are almost completely sold out since the introduction of the '08 W204. Is this true.

I see that the auto-leveling is missing if you convert to bi-xenons. How important is the auto-leveling in the US? Is it legal to not have auto-leveling with bi-xenons in Ohio? Should I research this legal stuff further?

I was referring to OEM bi-xenons. You should be able to still get them, but it will be pricey. There is no DOT regulation that requires auto-leveling.

I heard that they are about $1200.00. Is that about accurate? How do I go about ordering them? By the way, does this OEM kit include high-beam HIDs or just low-beam HIDs? Just wondering...

Why do you need these HID lights? Do you have bad night vision? If not then the halogens supplied by Mercedes should suffice.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
