Default Battery Location

Hello, I just purchased a used 2015 c300 4matic sedan and was wondering where the battery is located. Without dismantling too much, I didn't see it in the trunk nor under the hood.
I'm assuming it's on the passenger side of the engine compartment but I don't want to take too much apart until I know it's there. I want to hook up a trickle charger to the battery for the winter months. Thanks for any info. Plus, I'm new to this forum.

Thanks. I found it. It’s on the right side of the engine compartment under a cover by the firewall. I’ll post pix when I do it.

I've read that some MB have two batteries. One is an auxiliary. Would the c class have this? What's the purpose of having 2?

Not sure if the C class has two - but the main one is responsible for the voltage during initial start up and the auxiliary runs the run's accessories.

After doing some research, I found the c class does have an auxiliary battery. It's more of a capacitor. It's about the size of a cigarette box and it's located underneath the passenger side foot well, behind the glove box area. It's used to keep some electronics energized. You can't see it unless you pull back the carpet and remove some covers. A YouTube video shows how to change one. If it ever goes, you'll get a message on your menu screen.
