I have a 99 C280.

While driving home today the car engine stopped and the battery light came on. I turned the key and pulled it out and tried restarting the car. The first 2 times it failed and the car started back up the 3rd time.

Is this something I need to be worried about?

Any ideas or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

was it a strong crank? or very slow like a dead battery? could be the battery or alternator. check the tightness of the battery terminals first.

Its hard to describe. It just "clicked" couple times and didn't start. On the 3rd try it started fine.

When it initially happened I was stopped in traffic. I drove home just fine when the engine restarted.
