I am facing the following two symptoms and I am not sure whether they are related or separate "C320 - 2002" :

When I start the car in the morning it does have a power deficit, I press the gas pedal and it moves slow. I give it more gas and I get a decent speed out of it. But more than I would normally need for similar speeds, after around 5KMs of driving, it is about normal.

While driving when going for example from 30KPM to 60KPM a gear change happens, the issue is that before RPM would go up when I accelerate and go down again after the gear change, recently the RPM takes a few seconds to go down again, or I have to tap the gas pedal with my foot to have it go down, before it would happen instantaneously, I was told this could be the gearbox or gearbox oil levels. AND, at times at lower speeds I feel a sudden surge of speed upon change of gear as mentioned above.


Adding to the two issues above, I feel that the engine sound is rougher/louder than before.

It is worth mentioning that I had a lot of sounds coming from the catalyst as if the contents were broken and I assumed that some piece broke of and blocked the rear exhaust. But after changing one of the catalyst *****, I was told nothing was obstructing the exhaust. Cant say for 100% though.

really hard to say what the issue is. could be charging problem. could be a mass air flow issue, could be a fuel delivery issue.
