Something strange is going on with my car, but I want to be sure it's not just me losing my mind. Or what's left of it.
Could somebody go to their car and try something for me? Get in your car and start it up, but be ready immediately to
lower the driver's window with your finger on the switch almost. AS SOON AS the car starts, try to lower the window.
Is there any delay whatsoever or any inability to lower the window with the switch as soon as the car starts???

I don't think my car ever did this, but now I can't lower ANY window on the door switches until I wait about 5 seconds.
Then everything works. At nighttime, when it's dark, I have noticed that the switches themselves don't illuminate until
about 5 seconds after starting the car, and during that time, no switch works any window. ANY window. Weird.

Is it me? Or does everybody's car do this?

alot benzs do that.. same with the seats. its normal

 

I just went out and did that on my E320, C280 AND 420SEL. It seems to be normal I guess. As long as they work when I need it to thats all I care.

 

OK, thanks. That confirms it. I've lost my mind.
