Default air conditioning for C240

Hi everybody

I have a C240 with an air conditioner (not automatic) installed. After the winter I tried to switch it on today at around 24 degree. However, no cool air was blown out. The econcomy button indicator remained half lit at all times and and could not be switched off. Is this temperature too low to switch on the a/c compressor or is there anything wrong with the refrigerent.
Your comments will be appreciated
Regards

Christopher

half lit? just a faint red LED lamp?

the push button unit might be the problem.

normal off operation, it flashes.

if the LED is permanently on, then the compressor is not functional. have you tried resetting it by disconnecting the fuse and reconnect it?

welcome to the forum.

Hi Sleepwalker,
Thanks for your prompt advice.
Yes. the economy button was lit up with a faint red LED nearly at all times except occassionally with normal brightness.
I'll try to locate the a/c fuse and do a reset.
Regards
Christopher

Hi Sleepwalker,
I took off the two related fuses and put them back again but no use.
Has the refrigerant gone?
Regards,
Christopher
