Default Air condition leak on Cclass 2015 w205, remove dashboard to change coil / evaporator

hello,

My air condition is not cool anymore after 6 years without doing anything (I don't know if I should have done some maintenance ?), but when I add some gaz, it's cool again.
Is it correct to think that we should never have to add any gaz ? So it means that it's leaking ?

And if it's leaking, is it true that we have to remove the dashboard to change the evaporating coil (or anything it is called) ?

Is it the only solution to fix aircon problem ? and if anyone removes the full dashboard, is it better to just change the whole aircon system, compressor included ? (where is it located please?)

Finally, do you know how can any garage / mechanic be sure that the evaporator coil is leaking without removing the dashboard ? Just because gaz level is lower means that evaporator is leaking ? There is no other solution ?

Thank you so much for your help and thank you for this forum.

I saw it there but I am not sure if I am allowed to link on this forum, so i just put the photos:

Ok, so I used a gas leak detector and it seems that the leak is really around the evaporator coil.

Is there really nothing else to try but remove the dash completely to change the coil ?

I might prefer to refill few times a year until I decide to change it if the only solution is to remove the dashboard.

I don't see your photos, but I think I'll have to remove the dashboard. If you remove the panel, the coils are quite easy to change yourself, it is better to choose reliable coils, I use MAS Ignition coils for my Ford, you can see here Coils for F-150, and I heard a lot of good reviews about them, the main thing is not to forget to fix the contacts well.

I have 1999 Mercedes C230, I had a leak in my a/c. I bought a/c stop leak and put it in my a/c and it has been working great. You may want to try putting a/c stop leak in your a/c.

Thank you so much ! I have read positive and negative reviews about those sprays, so yes maybe I should try before fixing the leak by removing dashboard, as a last chance try.

Can I know which brand of spray did you buy ? Thanks again.

The a/c stop leak is not a spray. Its goes in the a/c system the same way as freon.

My car AC is also not cooling my car as it used to cool my car before. After reading your post, I think I should also buy a/c stop leak and put it in my a/c. I hope it works. I am so happy, I have found your post. I want to write an essay on computer science and because of this, I was searching for a site online in which I can find samples on that topic and found this https://www.topessaywriting.org/samp...mputer-science website. But when I was searching for it online, I have also found link to your post and I took interest in your post because I am also facing the same problem.
