Ok - we have our 99 C280. A few general questions:

1. we have xenon headlamps and rain sensing wipers, but no headlamp wipers --- so this is not the C1 option package. I assume MB just packaged some early 99 cars this way (mine was manufactured in July 98).

2. My searches have not found anything, but doesthis site have the radio manual posted anywhere? It is the Becker/Bose combo with thebuilt in telephone keypad. Trying to figure out all the buttons.

3.The outside monochromatic mirror isa pain -- too dark for daytime driving with extra tinted windows necessary in FL. Can I just swap out the glass from a a 98? (our 98 doesnt have this).

You could actually get it programmed so it would eliminate that feature if I'm not mistaken. OCP (Overhead Control Panel) control unit adaptations and change or it could be in the EIS...I can't remember, but I've done it.
