This one is weird.

When I crank up the car, put it in gear and drive off, the tranny will NOT shift out of first. However, I found out that if I crank up the car, put in gear, THEN put it back in park, shut off the engine, then RE CRANK it, then the tranny will shift perfectly. What is going on ???? Please help if you can.

 

Does the transmission shift properly if you let the car warm up before driving off?
