Question 97 C280 with some issues

I've had this car since 2006, bought it with 67k miles on it. I absolutely love the car, it looks great, turns heads, and hasn't been a hassle at all. However.

I have two problems that I need to address.

First of all, if I fill up the gas tank completely, there is a fuel odor in the car, and fuel can be seen leaking by the right passenger tire, dripping off the suspension. That can't be good.

Secondly, every 30k miles or so, my number 5 & 6 cylinders stop firing. I put in new Bosch platinum plugs, and it's fine.... until about 30k miles later, and it happens again. Happened today. Left my house, accelerated from a complete stop, and heard and felt a pop - and noticed extremely reduced horsepower. Stopped, and found the engine limping and shaking. Replaced the spark plugs, and the problem went away. For now.

How do I fix these issues? While I wouldn't call myself a mechanic per se, I'm comfortable and confident in my ability to replace worn parts, and I can follow instructions to a T.
