hey i just bought a 97 c280 i have never owned a mercedes this is my first i got the car for practiclly nothing but my problem is it will not start it has good compression and new fuel pump it will spin over good and try to start sometimes but just wont start up the guy told me he thinks the ecm is bad does anyone here have any ideas?

any cheap way to fix that? i called the dealer and they said it had to be ordered from germany and it would cost me 6,200 bucks is there any reman units?

 

well i got it running today it will only crank if u press the gas pedal while u r tryin to crank it it runs great but will not run past 2000 rpm any ideas?
