Hey Guys

First off, I appreciate you sharing any knowledge and insights you might have.

I have a 2007 c230 with 49K miles. I recently had an 'A' service at an MB dealership. One of the recommended services was an 'Electronic Transmission Service', I was told the vehicle was over due for this service. The quote was $386 (US). I declined the service at that point.

Do you know:
1. exactly when this service is due on a c230 (at what mileage)
2. how serious is this
3. now that i'm at 49K miles and haven't done it yet, am i ok? or do i need to be rushing into the nearest location to service right away?

Any advice appreciated if you've done this before.
