HI GUYS, I JUST DISCOVERED THROUGH A FRIEND of MINE THIS FORUM AND I WANT TO SEE WHO CAN HELP ME.
I JUST BOUGHT A 2006 MERCEDES C 230 WITH 62,000 MILES. THE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT IS THAT AFTER EVERY COLD START THERE IS A KNOCKING NOISE THAT COMES OUT OF THE ENGINE FOR ABOUT 3 OR 4 SECONDS AND THEN IT GOES AWAY. IT SEEMS LIKE LIFTERS NOISE AND ONCE THE OIL PREASURE BUILDS UP IT GOES AWAY FOR GOOD UNTIL A NEW COLD START. MY CAR IS PRESENTLY AT THE MERCEDES BENZ DEALER IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS AND THEY CAN'T FIND OUT WHAT IS MAKING THAT NOISE.

I have to admit that one of the most horrific mistakes I'v done through my life is buying MB c230 2006.

Whatever,it might be the steering oil ,,, I'd experienced something quite similar to your case ,,, however the solution of my problem was just refilling the steering oil or (power oil) .

It might be also the ( breath hose )>>> Mine was puncherd and made alot of noise .

It can be also in the ignition system ,, some of the sparkle-plugs have to be adjusted sometimes.

I'm telling you that ,, Cause I had all of these stuff on my daman car

btw, have you experienced having such an annoying voice coming through the dashboard ,,, If you do so , just tell me to help you.
