i recently just bought a 2006 mercedes c230 sport and i have a couple questions, i'm just going to post this first one as its the question i've been looking for the answer to the most.
1. can i put a rockford fosgate subwoofer intot he car without changing the stock radio or do i have to change it?

If you have any comment or suggerstions on other ones i could put in that would be better quality your advice would be much appreciated

i have looked at putting a new stereo on mine, not advised unless the dealer or someone who knows how all that works. they have crazy electronics where one wire does a ton of stuff. just a thought

 

i'll give you your answera, then tell you my experience.

i had an amp and 2 10" subs installed with my stock head unit, they wired through to wires in my trunk in the top left corner.

it was nice at first, but to adjust the bass u need to put it up on the head unit to get the most out of it then your interior speakers bass goes up as well creating distortion.

after all that i bought a double din touch screen navigation pioneer head unit, REAL NICE. got it through sonicelectronix.com. everyone thinks its stock, the dash kit is matte black like the vents, and trim around the temp controls.

had the amp re-routed to the pioneer head unit...WOW what a difference!

dont waste your money, get an aftermarket headunit.
