Greetings!

I'm an auto writer/illustrator... just picked up a new C230 Sports Coupe last night. Unfortunately.. I only have it for a week, it's a press loaner vehicle. I haven't driven a Mercedes since the early 1980s... and I must say I could easily fall in love with this little car. We just seemed to click! Took it out on some remote, twisty backroads ... I'm really impressed with the smooth comfort and sticky handling in sport mode, and the crisp, clean gauges are beautiful, the black leather seat feel sjust right under my butt - the quality and driveability seem like that of a much pricier vehicle!
About the only thing I could pick apart right now is the visibility through the rear window.. but that sure wouldn't stop me from owning it.

Back in 2002 when I purchased my Mercedes. My first choice was the C230 Kompressor coupe with the Glass roof. However due to a severe back problem, the seats were much to stiff. So I settled on a 99 C280, which I can drive and be very comnfortable. I traded a Z3, so buying the C230 would have been jumping from the frying pan into the fire. But I did like the car, I need an automatic and even with that transmission it was a nice performer and for around $30K with tax, what a deal.
