Is the blower motor unit located directly under/behind the pasanger seat? Is there any way to lubricate this bearing? If not what is the process to replace the blower motor? Thanks in advance for your help

on my old C200 Kompressor I had the same problem and its origin was in the functioning of the rods which work in directing the air. It is a 2 or 3 euro part, but in order to fixit it the serviceman need to take out the whole sistem. So it's not worth it.

The blower motor is on the passenger side under the dash. Its easy! Just remove the under dash panel. Remove the blower motor cover and unbolt and unplugthe motor assembly. You can try to lube it but it will start making noise again in like 5 min....And what dominic is talking about are the stepper motor linkages. They are made out of plastic and crack. They make more of a "clicking" noise which I dont think is your problem..Your complaining of a squeeking noise..

Well........I'm sorry to have to report that my local Mercedes dealership didn't come through for me (us) on this noise issue today after leaving the car there for a day. They knew what the problem was as I explained it in detail. They called me to tell me they "took the whole thing out and apart and couldn't find anything wrong with it". So, I guess that means that I'm stuck with a squeaky fan and they think for some reason I'm making the whole thing up. I don't get it. Yes, it's an intermittent problem and sometimes they are the hardest to diagnose. But.......I'm right back to zero again and now will probably have to return another day for another appointment for another try at getting somebody to fix it properly. Maybe. Or maybe not. I give up.
