Default 2004 C230K Heater squeeking noise????

When the I turn the heater on in my car I hear this squeeky type noise coming from within the cabin. I think its coming from the passenger floor side but am not sure. When I have the blower on from very low to midway I hear the squeeking. As I turn the blower past halfway the squeeking stops. This occurs wherever I direct the fans to blow as well. Any diagnosis??

Thanks for the reply,

I think its the fan but when I switch the blower zone (lets say to the windshield) I still hear the squeeky noise at the lower levels. Would the floor fan still turn even if Im not directing the air down there?

My 2005 C230K does the exact same thing. I'm sure it's the blower motor fan and it does it just like you say.....at certain blower speeds moreso than others. Comes and goes as you drive and when you vary the blower speed. I'm taking mine to the dealer since it's still under warranty.
I'm guessing they are going to pull the unit out and replace it. Very annoying sound too, isn't it. [:@]

Anoying is an understatment!! ... Unfortunately my warrenty has since passed but Ill be very curious to see what the fix is when you get back from the dealer... I wasnt sure if it was the motor or the actual fan itself so please keep me updated when you find out ... it will most likely determine how I go about fixing my car

I'm going overseas for three weeks and will take the car to the dealer shortly after I get back, so don't give up on my reply concerning
the squeaky heater/AC motor. I'll answer right after they "fix" it.
In the meantime, turn the radio UP! [:'(]

OK>just got back from my trip overseas and the jet lag is killing me! Yikes!
I'll have the car in the shop soon and report as SOON AS I CAN! Sorry to keep you waiting.
I have an idea MB will just put a new blower motor in and call it a day.
We'll see.

The bearing in the blower motor squeeks a lot. The whole motor and fan blade is replaced as a whole unit...
