Have 2003 C240 at around 37K miles. Warranty expired last December. Nice timing :-(
Saw check engine light 1st time around Feburary and it disappeared by itself a few days later.
It behaved like that couple of times and now it's steady on for about a month.
Checked the error codeat AutoZoneand it's P0400 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction).
How much would it cost me to fix at outside mechanis, not dealer.
Afraiddealer's charge may be way too high. Afew hundred or a few thousand bucks?
Anybody had same thing before?

I have the same problem the estimate for a ml320 1998 is 328.00 dlls. 1.5 hours labor, 154 for egr valve 82.00 for egr tube.
