My sunroof is sticking. It wont open with the exception of when I go thru a car wash. Which leads me to believe that the water is somehow lubricating it and allowing it to slide back.

So, is there any sort of maintenance I should be doing on the sunroof such as lubing parts or seals?

 

Once you get the roof open again:
I've used white lithium grease on the tracks and anywhere where wear is obvious when the roof is open. I have applied the grease very thinly and lightly and the roof seems to glide smoothly with no jerking. Don't forget to apply some where the separate small glass portion tilts up as a windbreak. It tends to operate stiffly without grease. Clean the edges witha cleaner and remove any debris that may be in the track where the "fuzzy" nylon strips cover the track over the rear section. Use WD40 on the hinges for the windbreak as well.
